The seminar I took talked about how lifestyle and trends affect color and style. The farm and local living is important.. and the farm kitchen. I think this means a 
table in the middle. It can be used as a preperation area, as well as seating. Table height is important for baking, rolling out crusts, for family to participate. A table with a cutting board top would be perfect....Back to making things from scratch..
